Description

ECOGARD ® B45 flame retardant is a flame retardant which can be used universally to protect all absorbent natural materials and many synthetics against fire from usual ignition sources. Can also be used for straw and reeds! When added to dispersion and latex paint, ECOGARD ® B45 turns your normal flammable paint into a flame retardant impregnation treatment.Dependent on materials, the following fire classifications can be achieved: DIN 4102 B1, EN 13773 C1, ÖNORM Q1, Tr1, EN13501 all classes.

What materials can I protect with ECOGARD® B45?
ECOGARD ® B45 protects all absorbent textiles from polyester, polyamide, viscose, cotton, linen, jute, wool and related fibers. These include brand fibers such as Trevira, Perlon, Nylon, Dralon, Modal or Lyocell. ECOGARD ® B45 protects all materials with absorbent surfaces made of wood, paper and cardboard. ECOGARD ® B45 even protects weakly absorbent materials such as straw, reeds or strawflowers.

How do I process ECOGARD ® B45?
ECOGARD B45 ® is a clear, 30% aqueous liquid, which is simply sprayed on. The ECOGARD ® pump pressure sprayers are ideally suited for this purpose. In individual cases diving or stroking is also indicated. As a rule, uniform moistening of the material is sufficient to saturate before draining. Then leave the material completely dry.

How much ECOGARD ® B45 ® do I need when I order it directly?
Natural materials: 1 liter for 3-8m²; Synthetics: 1 liter for 2-6m². The data vary depending on the absorbency of the material. The effect must be checked by preliminary tests. If necessary, the spraying operation must be repeated after intermediate drying.

How much ECOGARD B45 ® do I need when I use it as a flame retardant additive in paints?
30 parts ECOGARD ® B45 + 70 parts color = 100 parts flame retardant paint. ECOGARD ® B45 is well tolerated with dispersion paints. Preliminary tests for the compatibility of your color with the ECOGARD ® B45 are essential. Also check the flame retardant effect and, if necessary, change the dosage.
